Combining the mermaid and the angel results in mermaid angels, first conceived for Thomas’ signature painting, the “Christ of the Deep”. A curious turtle, or “Honu”, touches the beautiful mermaid angel as they affirm the love for their special part in this special world. Certainly a unique piece, many have said that this painting is reminiscent of Thomas’ mentor, John Pitre.
