Meet Artist Thomas Deir at “I Love Kailua” Town Party,

KAILUA, HI - Thomas Deir Studios is proud to announce that Kailua artist Thomas Deir will be at the “I Love Kailua” Town Party to be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The public will have an opportunity to see his work on display and personally speak with the Kailua artist who has contributed to the beautification of Oahu. Deir is a prolific artist with many original tile murals gracing locations on Oahu, including the entrance of Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve as well as 15 public schools across windward Oahu. Deir is currently working on an original tile mural project for the Hale Koa Hotel, Waikiki, Hawaii.
Thomas Deir will have a variety of works on display at the “I Love Kailua” Town Party. He produces fine art in different mediums including canvas oil paintings. Representing some of his original pieces will be giclees (canvas reproductions) and matted prints. His artwork can be viewed on his website at http://www.thomasdeir.com.
In addition to his rich, decorative, permanent tile murals, Deir is developing a series of decorative Stone Mosaics. Stone Mosaics are made from natural granite, marble, and slate. The stones shaped to an image and prepared for installation. A Honu or Turtle Stone Mosaic will be on display at the “I Love Kailua” Town Party.

Thomas Deir Original Tile Mural to Appear in February 21, 2010 Episode of Hawaii Five-0
KAILUA, HI - Thomas Deir Studios is proud to announce a Thomas Deir original tile mural will appear in the Monday, February 21, 2010 episode of Hawaii Five-0. The mural is located at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Waikiki, Hawaii, on the front of the Rainbow Tower.
Kailua artist, Thomas Deir, is a concept artist producing fine art in a different mediums including canvas oil paintings and rich, decorative, permanent tiles suitable for interiors and exteriors including swimming pools. Deir is a prolific artist with many original tile murals located on Oahu, including the entrance of Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve as well as 15 public schools across windward Oahu.
In addition to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Deir's client list includes eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, developers Chris Hemmeter and Michael Shinn; designers Glenda Anderson and Wayne Parker; architect Cary Smoot, golf great Chi-Chi Rodriguez; Brigham Young University, Sea Life Park at Makapuu, the USA Inventor’s Hall of Fame, the Academy of Applied Science, and Kawaiahao Church.
Deir is currently working on a mural project for the Hale Koa Hotel, Waikiki, Hawaii. He is also developing a series of decorative Honu Stones. Honu Stones are made from natural granite, marble, and slate. The stones shaped to a turtle image and prepared for installation.
